4. No Legal Advice Through the Website

The content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. A solicitor-client relationship is established only when we have confirmed our acceptance of your instructions in writing. Submitting an enquiry through this Site does not create a solicitor-client relationship.

5. Engagement of Services

Client engagement

Before we commence work on any matter, we will issue a client care letter or engagement letter setting out the scope of work, applicable fees, billing arrangements, and our terms of engagement. Those documents form part of the contract between you and Hikmah Legal for the relevant matter and should be read together with these terms.

Fees and payment

Our fees are set out in our engagement documentation and on this Site as indicative figures. Indicative pricing reflects the scope described and may be subject to adjustment depending on the complexity of the matter, time involved, and the level of representation required. We will notify you of any material changes before they are incurred.

Invoices are payable within the period stated in the engagement letter. We reserve the right to suspend work on a matter where invoices remain unpaid beyond that period.

Conflict of interest

We conduct conflict checks before accepting new instructions. If a conflict arises during the course of an engagement that prevents us from continuing to act, we will inform you and assist with the transition of your matter where possible.

6. Confidentiality

We treat all information provided by clients and prospective clients as confidential. Information is not disclosed to third parties except as necessary for the conduct of a matter, with your consent, or as required by law or the rules of professional conduct.

Our full approach to personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
